Welcome! 

My name is Catherine Chu and I am currently a senior majoring in English and Elementary Education at the College of William and Mary. Thank you very much for taking the time to look at my education portfolio.

This portfolio serves as the culmination of my experience in William and Mary's School of Education. Here, I am able to highlight to you the evidence that I have become a Content Expert, Reflective Practitioner, Educational Leader and Effective Collaborator through my experience as a student of education. Additionally, you can see through my examples in the Competencies section of my portfolio that I have mastered the thirty competencies that the School of Education encourages its students to develop.

My student teaching experience in a first grade classroom at Matthew Whaley Elementary School has been rich and rewarding.  Next year, I will be working in Washington D.C. as a member of Teach for America.  I cannot wait to enter into the field of education and feel very qualified as a result of my time here at William and Mary.
